HARMON Sr. Of 303 6th St., Tyrone was found dead in his home at 11 p.m. Monday after having been ill for some time. He was born in Altoona Oct. 4, 1889, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Harmon and on July 20 1911 at Cumberland, Md., married Laura Wilcox, who died May 26, 1952. Surviving are three sons, Joseph Jr. and John H. of Tyrone and Robert L. of Philadelphia; four grandchildren, and four brothers and sisters, John H. of Aliquippa, Leo F. of Terra Alto, W. Va., Mrs. Margaret Goetz of Knox, Ind. And Mrs. Katherine Baker of Juniata. Mr. Harmon retired from the Bell Telephone Company in 1946 after 36 years of service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the Tyrone Elks and Moose, and the Blazing Arrow Hook & Ladder Company.
