Harpster, age 57, of 2812 Butternut Road, Tyrone died Friday, February 2, 2007 at 9:15 a.m. at her residence. She was born March 4, 1949 in Altoona, the daughter of C. Aden and K. Marie Hileman Troxell. On June 26, 1971 in Williamsburg she was married to James W. Harpster who survives. Also surviving are two children, James (Jennifer) Harpster of Cranberry Township and Julie (Travis) Anderson of Butternut Road, two grandchildren, Hunter and Trenton Anderson, her mother, a guest at Hillview Nursing Home and her father- in-law, James B. Harpster. Also surviving is her twin sister Carolyn (Perry) Clapper and another sister, Nancy (Dennis) Hoover, both of Williamsburg, four nephews, one niece, two grandnieces, and one grand nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, a brother Wayne Allen Troxell, her mother-in-law Geraldine Harpster, and in 1984 by a son Justin. Mrs. Harpster was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Williamsburg and an associate at the Lower Spruce Creek Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of Williamsburg High School in 1967 and L.P.N. School in Chambersburg. She had been employed as an L.P.N. at Epworth Manor, retiring in 1997 due to disability. She was a member of the Epworth Manor Auxiliary, the Warriors Mark Fire Company Auxiliary, the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Candle Lighters, a support group for those afflicted with childhood cancer. Funeral Services for Susan A. Harpster will be Monday, February 5, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Suzanne Morelli officiating. Interment will be in Blair Memorial Park.
