BETTY JANE HARRIS 

  Betty Jane Harris, 81, of 306 Park Avenue, Tyrone, died July 15, 2003 
at 11:35 a.m. at Tyrone Hospital.
  She was born March 29, 1922 in Tyrone, a daughter of Phillip D. and 
LuLu (Morrison) Haag. On November 7, 1940, in Cumberland, Md., she 
married S. Justin "Jay" Harris. He preceded her in death on April 10, 
1972.
  Surviving is a daughter, Luann Kessinger and husband Gordon of 
Altoona, a son, Samuel J. and wife Diane of Newport Beach, Ca., four 
grandchildren, Jason and Eric Kessinger, Colleen Willis and Shannon 
Harris, a great-granddaughter Ava Willis and a brother Robert Haag, a 
resident of Epworth Manor.
  She was preceded in death by a brother Alex.
  Mrs. Harris was a member of the First English Lutheran Church, 
Tyrone. She assisted her husband in the operation of their business, 
Jay's Foodland, Tyrone, for many years. She previously was employed at 
John R. Wald. She enjoyed reading.
  Funeral services will be held tonight at 8 p.m. at the Feller 
Memorial Home with Pastor TerryAnn Talbot-Moses officiating. Interment 
will be at Blair Memorial Park.
  Friends will be received tonight from 7 p.m. until the time of 
services.
  Memorial gifts may be made to the First English Lutheran Church, 17 
W. 13th Street, Tyrone, Pa. 16686.
