HARRIS Calvin Lawrence Harris, 72, 1664 Logan ave., died this morning at 6.40 o'clock at Tyrone hospital after an extended illness. He was born Feb. 23, 1886, at Huntingdon Furnace, the son of Harry and Mary Elizabeth Wilson Harris. He never married. He was a resident of Tyrone for 42 years. He is survived by two brothers, Wilfred, Eden Hill; and Darius, of Warriors Mark; five sisters, Mrs. Reed Searer, Mrs. Fred Musser, Mrs. George Carnes, and Miss Maud Harris, all of Tyrone; and Mrs. Walter McFarland, Grazierville. He was a member of the First Methodist church, the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Co., and of the IOOF, and was a retired chipperman of the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Co. Funeral service is scheduled Tuesday, at 2 p.m. at the Graham and Getz Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Roy O. Bodtorf. Burial will be in Burket Cemetery, Warriors Mark.
