Miss Anna Mary Hart, one of Hollidaysburg's most estimable women, died yesterday at 5:15 o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. John O'Brien, of North Juniata street, of a complication of diseases. Since the death of her mother, Mrs. Barbara Hart, which occurred on April 9, 1918, Miss Hart had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien. Last July she took a trip to Pittsburg, and to various points in Minnesota to visit relatives, returning home last November. For the past year or so she had been in poor health but was only taken seriously ill a short time ago. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara Hart and was born on April 30, 1855, having resided during her whole lifetime at Hollidaysburg. In her girlhood days she became a member of St. Mary's church of this place and was organist of the church for twenty-five years. She was always a devout Christian woman, taking a prominent part in the affairs of her church, in which she was looked upon as a leader; was possessed of a kindly, winning disposition that made everyone a warm friend and the whole community will learn of her demise with the profoundest sorrow. She was patient and faithful to every trust, taking the best of care of her mother in her declining days, and has gone to receive the rich reward that she so truly merits. She is survived by these brothers and sisters: Martin, William and John Hart, and Mrs. John O'Brien, all of Hollidaysburg, and Mrs. E. S. Nolan, of Pittsburg. The funeral services will be held at St. Mary's church on Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock and interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Tuesday, January 7, 1919, page 4
