ELIZABETH HARTLE, Aged 88 years, died at her home, 1806 Fifth avenue, at 5.30 o'clock this morning. Death was caused by acute pneumonia. Mrs. Hartle had been in excellent health considering her age, and was able to be around the home doing her daily work yesterday. She complained of nothing but a slight cold. This was not thought serious, but her condition became worse and her death came unlooked for early this morning. She was the wife of Jacob Hartle who died nine years ago. Mrs. Hartle was born in the Cove section, the daughter of Henry and Margaret Otto. She is survived by two sons, George W. and Richard H., both of this city, and two daughters, Mrs. Carrie McKee who resided with her mother and Mrs. M. G. Hammel of Altoona. One brother, Joe Otto of Philadelphia and a sister Mrs. Duganne of this city also survive. Five grandchildren also survive. She was a member of the Eighth Avenue Methodist Episcopal church. Funeral arrangements are not yet complete, but the services will probably be held on Sunday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, October 4, 1923 Funeral Notice.
