HARTLE Retired conductor for the Altoona & Logan Valley Electric Railway company, died last night at 11 o'clock at his home, 1920 Fifth avenue. Mr. Hartle was born in Altoona on Oct. 20, 1854, a son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Otto) Hartle. His wife, Mrs. Mary Ann (Evans) Hartle, died in 1933. Surviving are a daughter and a son, Mrs. Bertha Dutrow and Harry M. Hartle, both of this city. Mr. Hartle also is survived by two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one brother, George Hartle, and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie McKee and Mrs. Lile Hammel, all of Altoona. The deceased was a member of the First United Brethren church, the Patriotic Order Sons of America and Mountain City lodge, No. 837, I.O.O.F. Mr. Hartle retired from the employe of the Altoona & Logan Valley Electric Railway company in 1925 with a record of thirty years' service. Friends will be received at the Lafferty funeral home after 8 o'clock this evening. HARTLE - Funeral services for Richard H. Hartle of 1920 Fifth avenue will be conducted by Rev. J. Neely Boyer of the First United Brethren church, at the Lafferty funeral home Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment in Fairview cemetery. Friends are being received at the Lafferty funeral home.
