Death of a Prominent Farmer.

 Benjamin Hartman, Esq., a prominent and wealthy farmer of Woodberry 
township, residing on a farm near Springfield furnace, died at 5 
o'clock on Tuesday morning.  He was the father of Messrs. Walter and 
Jesse Hartman.

HOLLIDAYSBURG HAPPENINGS.

  The remains of the late Benjamin Hartman were brought yesterday from 
his home near Springfield furnace, on an extra train, accompanied by a 
large number of friends, and at 2 o'clock laid in the Presbyterian 
cemetery.
