Harvey, a veteran of the civil war, died of heart trouble at his home, 1823 Twelfth avenue. He was born April 1, 1835, at Shirleysburg, Huntingdon county, Pa. On the 25th of December, 1869, he married Miss A. J. Cunningham at Marion Centre, Indiana county, Pa. He came to Altoona from Bolivar in 1897, and has resided in this city since that time. Besides his wife, Mr. Harvey is survived by one son, Albert L., a Pennsylvania Railroad company telegraph operator of this city. When the Nineteenth Pennsylvania volunteer cavalry was organized he became a member of company F of that organization. He also served in the One Hundred and Tenth regiment, infantry, Pennsylvania volunteers, after his enlistment expired in the cavalry regiment, and has a record of honorable service throughout the entire rebellion. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Bolivar, and belonged to Captain John Coulter post No. 244, Grand Army of the Republic, of Bolivar. The remains will be taken to Shirleysburg on Saturday morning for interment. Morning Tribune, Friday, June 23, 1899
