She was born August 16, 1925 in Juniata, a daughter of the late Millard and Ethel L. (Smiley) Fern. She married J. William Harvey on April 12, 1950 in Bellwood. Mrs. Harvey is survived by her husband; sons: J. Thomas of Moore, OK and David P. of Lockport, NY; daughters: Linda J. Harvey of Fredericksburg, MD, Sara M. Weamer of East Freedom and Amy S. Lunglhofer of Altoona; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; a sister: Betty Jo Shively of Muncy. She was preceded in death by brothers, Verden A. and Guy S. Fern and sisters, Thelma Franks, Fay Kress, Laura Beichler and Marion Warren. Mrs. Harvey retired as a school secretary at Bellwood-Antis School District. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood where she formerly served as treasurer and was a member of the choir. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and reading. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Robert Ludrowsky officiating. Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. Contributions in Mary's memory may be made to "The Door" P.O. Box 6, Bellwood, PA 16617.
