Decease of Ed. O. Haupt.

  Last evening word was received in this city that Ed. O. Haupt, a 
young man formerly employed in the office of the Engineer of Tests, and 
well known in Altoona, had died of consumption in Philadelphia, at 5 
o'clock in the afternoon.  He left here last summer for the benefit of 
his health, but there seemed to be no improvement.  His last moments 
were soothed by the presence of his father and mother.  No arrangements 
have yet been made for the funeral.

  The funeral of Ed. O. Haupt, formerly of this city, mention of whose 
death has already been made, took place at Millerstown, Perry county, 
yesterday afternoon.
