Hawksworth which occurred at his home No. 1123 Eighth avenue, yesterday morning at 6:30 o'clock, this community loses one of its most highly esteemed citizens, the church one of its most valued members, the Pennsylvania railroad company a trusted employee, and his family and friends one whose memory will long be fondly cherished. The deceased was born in Kent county, Md., May 31, 1808, and was consequently 83 years, 6 months and 19 days of age at the time of his death. Mr. Hawksworth was united in marriage in 1840 to Miss Susan Groff, of Lebanon, and to this union nine children were born--four sons and five daughters-and of these eight survive him, together with the aged wife and mother. The daughters are: Emma, wife of the late G.W. Patton, of Philadelphia; Elizabeth, wife of John McCormick, of Altoona; Ella, wife of Major John C. Paul, of Plainfield, N.J.; Annie, wife of F.B. Stuart, of Washington, D.C.; and Julia, wife of John Hurd of Altoona. The sons are Thomas A., George W. Jr., and William C., all of this city. One son, Herman L., died in infancy. There are also twenty-two grandchildren. The funeral will take place at his late residence, 1123 Eighth avenue, at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Services at the home will be conducted by H.R.
