At half past 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon Mrs. Rebecca Hawksworth, beloved wife of William Hawksworth, died at the family residence, No. 919 Sixth avenue of a complication of diseases. For the past eight years she had been an almost constant sufferer and four years ago accompanied by her sister she went to the University hospital in Philadelphia for treatment, from which she received some benefit. Her sufferings, which were thus allayed were by no means over, yet she bore them with Christian patience and her favorite hymn during her last illness was "Jesus Will Give Me Rest." Beside her husband she leaves two children - Mary, aged 16 years, and Charles, aged 12. Her mother, Mrs. Mary Aiken also survives her as do two sisters and two brothers - Mrs. Martha Miller, Miss Lucy Aiken, William and D. W. Aiken. Deceased was a consistent member of the Eighth Avenue Methodist Episcopal church, attending whenever her health permitted. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. Interment in Fairview cemetery. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Friday, March 27, 1891
