She was born in Germany on January 8, 1819, and was aged at the time of her death 99 years, 11 months and 25 days. Had she lived until next January 8, she would have attained the hundredth mile stone. She was the daughter of Francis Spanger, and came to this country from Germany when a young girl, and resided in this county ever since that time. Three daughters survive, with whom she made her home at Newry for a short time before her death. She lived the greater part of her life near East Freedom. She was a remarkable old lady in many ways, and up until her last illness was able to be about. She was a great reader, and kept herself abreast of the times up until the last, her mind being perfectly clear and her memory remarkable. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.
