HAZZARD Tyrone Daily Herald, June 14, 2005 Mrs. Virginia R. Hazzard, 94, formerly of Tyrone, died Sunday evening at Moran's Home, Bellwood. She was married June 30, 1937 in Tyrone, to Charles Forrest "Rammy" Hazzard who died Feb. 27, 1990. She was a lifelong resident of Tyrone. She is survived by a son, Robert L. Hazzard (Elizabeth) of Cleveland, OH and four grandchildren: Madeline M., Forrest S., Philip W. and Dawn V. and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She was a member of the Tyrone Christ United Methodist Church since 1937 and a member of the Friendship S.S. Class. She was also a member of the Tyrone Hospital Aux., Epworth Manor Aux., and a member of the Excelsior Lodge 219 of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. She was once employed at McCrory's 5 and 10 and the Wilson Chemical Co., Tyrone. Funeral services will be held Wed., June 15, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Dr. Dennis N. Reedy officiating. Interment will follow at Logan Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church.
