Headings, 94, formerly of 16th St., Tyrone died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 9:35 a.m. at Homewood Nursing Home, Martinsburg. She was born November 25, 1912 in Altoona a daughter of Samuel and Rebecca (Batley) Sheeder. On May 10, 1936 in Confluence she married Marshall P. Headings. He died March 22, 1997. Surviving is two sons, Marshall P. Headings of Lancaster and Samuel E. Headings of Palm Springs, Ca.; five grandchildren; four great- grandchildren and a brother, Dr. Elwood B. Sheeder of Indiana. Mrs. Headings retired in 1978 from Adams School, Tyrone as a sixth grade teacher following 20 years service. She previously was a teacher for Allenport School, Huntingdon County from 1934-1936. She was a former member of the Church of the Brethren, Tyrone where she taught Sunday school for 50 years. She was a 1930 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1934 graduate of Juniata College. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Blair Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Feller Memorial Home. Tyrone Daily Herald, March 15, 2007
