HELSEL 71, of Roaring Spring RD 1, died at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 1979, in Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, following an extended illness. Known as Pat, Mr. Helsel retired in 1973 as a mechanic and foreman from the Hartman Stone Quarry, Sproul, after 57 years' service. He was born March 8, 1908, in Hollidaysburg RD, the son of Olonzo and Margaret (Brown) Helsel, and Dec. 25, 1927, in Bakers Summit, married Margaret Kennedy. Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Clara Bishop of Roaring Spring RD 1, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four brothers and sisters, Raymond and Norman of Roaring Spring RD, Mrs. Susan Richardson of Hollidaysburg, and Mrs. Hazel Carper of Woodbury. Mr. Helsel was a member of the Albright Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Albright Church of the Brethren from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. HELSEL - Services for Clair D. Helsel of Roaring Spring RD 1 will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Albright Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring. Interment in Holsinger Cemetery, Bakers Summit. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, and in the church from 11 a.m. to time of service Saturday.
