DANIEL HELSEL.

At ten minutes past 5 o'clock yesterday morning Mr. Daniel Helsel died 
at his home in Newry from a complication of diseases aged 69 years, 10 
months and 6 days.  He is survived by a widow of the second marriage 
and the following sons and daughters: Josiah and Alexander, of 
Duncansville; Samuel, of Oakland, Cal.; Mrs. James Smith and Mrs. 
Daniel Beegle, of Newry; Mrs. Charles Pope and Mrs. F. Green, of 
Hollidaysburg; Mrs. Frank Pope, of the Loop, and Mrs. Annie Johnson.  
Mr. Helsel lived nearly all his life in Newry or its vicinity and many 
friends mourn his departure.  He was a life-long member of the Lutheran 
church.  The funeral will take place at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at 
the church.  The sermon will be preached by Rev. A. H. Shertz, former 
pastor, assisted by Rev. Isaac Krider, of Duncansville.
