She was a daughter of Michael and Sarah Kerns, both deceased, and was born October 15, 1842. She is survived by her aged husband and five children: Mrs. Edward Houck, Jesse and Howard, all of Hollidaysburg; B. G. and Miss Hettie, at home; also by eleven grandchildren, one brother, Henry Kerns, of New Florence, and one sister, Mrs. Rachael Treese, of Altoona. She was a devoted member of the First Methodist Episcopal church of Hollidaysburg. Funeral services will be conducted at her home by Rev. Charles T. Dunning on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Public services and private interment in the Presbyterian cemetery.
