HELSEL Of McConnellstown, a former Hollidaysburg resident, died this morning at 8.25 o'clock at Mercy hospital. He was born Oct. 15, 1888, at Queen, Bedford county, a son of Robert and Louella (Claar) Helsel. He had been employed for 45 years by the Pennsylvania Railroad company. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Marietta Miller of Hollidaysburg, Mrs. Erma Brantner of Williamsport and Mrs. Helen L. Schmid of Altoona; one son, Calvin of Portsmouth, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Burket of Claysburg and Mrs. Chester Isenberg of McConnellstown, and five brothers, Edward of Waterside, Austin of McConnellstown, Charles of Hollidaysburg, Elmer of Altoona and William of McConnellstown. Three brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Helsel was a member of the Church of the Brethren of Hollidaysburg and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Enginemen.
