Helsel, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. A. Heuston, in Roaring Spring, at 1.15 Friday afternoon. Her death was due to a complication of diseases. Mrs. Helsel was born Feb. 10, 1853. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. C. A. Heuston and Austin Helsel of Roaring Spring, Mrs. G. H. Bush, Mrs. J. E. Hess and Mrs. J. J. Bechtle of Hollidaysburg, John H. Helsel and Calvin Helsel of Claysburg, Irvin of Brookes Milles, and Miles, whose whereabouts are unknown and three sons preceded her to the grave, Lorenzo, Elwood and Howard. She is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Marietta Shiffler, Mrs. Maria Hartman and George Claar. Funeral services will be held in the Holsinger church at Bakers Summit Sunday afternoon, leaving the house at 2 o'clock. Interment in the cemetery adjoining the church. She was a member of the Lutheran church for many years. If it was, why did she have a brother named George Claar? The obituary of her eldest son Calvin Helsel indicated her maiden name as Claar. A mystery.
