Helsel, Jr. of 718 4th Avenue died at 1:40 a.m. today, July 15, 1969, in Altooa Hospital. He was born in Roaring Spring, on June 16, 1894, a son of Isaac and Matilda (Smith) Helsel, and was twice married, first to Barbara Emeigh who preceded him in death, and Olive M. Rath. Surviving are his wife, three sons and a daughter: Norman of Lakemont; Wilfred of Donnertown; William of Greenwood and Mrs. Wanda Burnheimer of Juniata; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Helsel was a PRR machinist, retiring from the Juniata Machine shops in 1957 after 46 years of service. he was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Altoona and of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 74, of Altoona. Friends will be received in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday. Interment in Rosehill Cemetery.
