HENDERSON Mr. Henderson, 79, of 505 Crawford Ave. died at 11:25 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 1985, in Miners Hospital, Spangler. Mr. Henderson retired as a welder from the Samuel Rea Shops of the Penn Central Railroad in 1971, after 40 years' service. He was born April 29, 1906, in Munson, the son of Edward and Jennie Henderson, and married Helen L. Friedli. Surviving are his wife, three children: Duane M. of Canton, Ohio; Ethel L. Farrell of Monroeville and Marlene D. of Huntingdon Beach, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Ethel Reitz of Silver Spring, Md. Mr. Henderson was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, and a former member of the church council. He was a member of Jaffa Temple, Mountain Lodge, Altoona Consistory and Swiss Rifle Club, and a former member of the Oriental Band. He was an Army veteran, serving as a major during World War II. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Gilden Barton Funeral Home. HENDERSON - Services for Lyle M. Henderson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Gilden Barton Funeral Home, by the Rev. Paul B. Blank. Interment in Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
