MRS. BARBARA HENGE.

  Yesterday morning at 9:30 o'clock, Mrs. Barbara Henge died at the 
home of her son, Carl Roth, of 511 Fourth avenue, of a complication of 
diseases from which she has suffered for the past year.  She was born 
at Baden, Germany, December 7, 1845, being aged 71 years, 1 month and 1 
day.  Mrs. Henge immigrated to this country in 1884 and after living in 
this city one year she moved to Peoria, Ill., where she lived about 
eleven months, returning later to this city.  She is survived by one 
son, Carl Roth, at whose home she died.  The funeral services will be 
held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from the house, and will be 
conducted by Rev. Fuessner, pastor of the Emanuel Evangelical church, 
of which she was a faithful member.  Interment will be made in Oak 
Ridge cemetery.
