Henninger, Sr. 75, of Sanborn, NY, died Wednesday July, 11, 2007, in the Buffalo General Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born on March 1, 1932 in Tyrone, PA, the son of William S. and Neva [ Price ] Henninger, where he attended local schools. He served during the Korean War, with the United States Army, where he attained the rank of Cpl., prior to his discharge on November 30, 1960. He was employed at the former Kimberly Clark Corporation, Harrison Radiator, in Lockport, and as a Tool die setter at the General Motors Power Train Division for 31 years prior to retiring January 1, 1993. He was a member of the United Baptist Christian Church, Lewiston, NY, where he has been a deacon for several years. He was also a member of the Korean War Veterans 1st Calvary Division, and enjoyed hunting, fishing card playing and reading western books. Mr. Henninger was a longtime member of the Niagara Sportsman's Club where he served as a director for 18 years, and a member of the Sporter Rifle Team. Surviving is his wife of 46 years, the former Mary E. Kelly, three sons, William R. Henninger, Sr., Daniel G. Henninger, Robert James Henninger, two granddaughters, Lauren Henninger, Robyn Heywood, sisters and brothers, Geraldine [ William ] Miller, of Fallentimber, PA, Robert [ Dorothy ] Henninger, of Port Matilda, PA, Lucy [Jerry ] Irwin, of Bellefonte, PA, Deloris [ Walter ] Craig, of Julian, PA, James Henninger of Warriors Mark, PA, Oscar [ Karen ] Henninger, N. Arlene Sweeney, both of Tyrone, PA, Marilyn Hipple, of Conroe, TX, sister in law, Louise Henninger, of Bald Eagle, PA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother and sister in law, Vern and Albert Kephart, and brother, Wesley Henninger. There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service, Saturday, July 14 at noon at the United Baptist Christian Church, 4800 Creek Road, Lewiston, NY. Burial will be in Pennsylvania later at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the United Baptist Christian Church, 4800 Creek Road, Lewiston, NY 14092.
