HENRY Carter K. Henry, 82, of Box 130 Hollidaysburg RD 1, Chimney Rocks, died at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 1981, in Mercy Hospital, after a brief illness. Mr. Henry retired as a locomotive engineer from the Middle Division of the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1959. Upon his retirement, he founded and operated the Chimney Rocks Recreation Center. He also retired as a justice of the peace in Blair Township in 1974, after 50 years' service. He was presently a licensed notary public and licensed tax consultant, as well as a beekeeper and manufacturer of bee supplies, and he maintained a bookkeeping service. He was a licensed electrician and master carpenter, and in 1973 founded the Chimney Rocks Survey Stake Company, which he operated until his death. He was born May 26, 1899, in Gaysport, a son of John and Susan (Everhart) Henry, and March 21, 1930, in Cumberland, Md., married Bessie May Mosey. Surviving are his wife, five children, Mrs. Thelma M. Rhodes of Altoona, Thomas C., Mrs. Dawn R. Hammers and Wilbur K. of Chimney Rocks and Mrs. Connie L. Berkheimer of Fairfield, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Dolly Myers of Claysburg. Mr. Henry was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg; AARP, Frohsinn Singing Society and Pennsylvania Magistrates Association. He was a life-long member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers. Mr. Henry was a 1965 graduate of the National Tax Training School, Monsey, N.Y., and received a bachelor of law degree in 1969 from the Blackstone School of Law, Chicago, Ill. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Plank & Stitt Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, and from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg. HENRY - Services for Carter K. Henry of Box 130, Hollidaysburg RD 1, Chimney Rocks, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg, by the Rev. Russell Norris. Interment in Alto- Reste Park. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Plank & Stitt Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, and from noon until time of services Wednesday in the church.
