Henshey, of this place, died of pyemia at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon after an illness of two weeks. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, July 9, 1885, page 4 The funeral of Mrs. James K. Henshey took place Thursday morning from her late residence on Lincoln avenue. The body was taken on Johnstown accommodation to Newport and from thence to Marklesburg for burial. The subject of the above notice was born in Perry county, married March 23, 1881, and was, at the time of her death, aged 30 years. By her removal a husband is bereft of an affectionate wife and companion, and two children, the youngest being but 9 months old, to grow to womanhood without the blessed influence of a kind and loving mother. She leaves, beside these, to mourn their loss a father, mother, three brothers and two sisters. Deceased was a consistent member of the United Brethren church from childhood and bore her suffering with Christian fortitude, never complaining, never doubting. She was highly respected and loved by all who knew her and the sympathy of a large circle of friends is extended to the family in this their sad bereavement; but "their loss is her gain."
