Hershell of Greenwood, died at 9.50 o'clock last night at her home of a heart attack. She was born on Aug. 19, 1882, at Canoe Creek, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Kimberling Gibson, and was twice married, her first husband, Robert W. Grove, preceding her in death. Surviving are her husband, James C. Hershell; two sons, Ray R. and Charles O. Grove, both of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, the following step-children: Mrs. Thomas Wilkins of Juniata gap, Mrs. Earl Bradley and Miss Thelma Hershell of the city, and Robert of the United States army at Fort Jackson, N.C.; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. J. B. Bathurst and Henry Gibson of Greenwood, Merrill and Ralph Gibson of the city. Mrs. Hershell was a member of the Greenwood United Brethren church. Friends will be received at the Mauk & Yates funeral home after noon tomorrow. HERSHELL - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Grove Hershell of Greenwood will be held Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the Greenwood United Brethren church in charge of Rev. Geo. Biggs and Rev. L. M. Bittner(?). Interment in the Greenwood cemetery. Friends are being received at the Mauk and Yates funeral home after noon today and until Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
