Herzog died at the family home, 212 Eleventh street, Saturday at 6 a.m. She suffered from Bright's disease and had been ailing for several months. Had she lived till next June she would have been 48 years old. The deceased was born near Pottsville. She was married to William Herzog in Tyrone about twenty-six years ago. Seven children were born to the union, two of whom, Lucy and Gertrude, with their father, survive. One sister and two brothers also survive, viz: Mrs. Rev. R. E. Johnson of Philadelphia, Charles Davenport of McAdoo, Pa., and J. H. Davenport of Minneapolis, Minn. Mrs. Herzog was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church of Tyrone. She was a consistent Christian woman and a devoted wife and mother. Services at the home at 2 p.m. by Rev. J. H. Daugherty. Interment in Grand View cemetery.
