All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ WILLIAM HERZOGG A resident of Tyrone for seventy years and long identified with the volunteer fire department of Tyrone, died at his home, 204 East Eleventh street, that place, yesterday morning at 5.25 o'clock. He was a son of William and Margaret (Heikle) Herzogg and was born at Carthage, Clearfield county, on March 4, 1853 [1900 census shows April 1855]. He came to Tyrone when 14 years of age. His wife, Lottie (Davenport) Herzogg, died twenty-six years ago. He is survived by two daughters, Misses Lucy and Gertrude Herzogg; one brother and two sisters, George Daniel Herzogg, Mrs. Catherine Burley and Miss Mary Herzogg, all of Tyrone. Five daughters preceded the father to the grave. He was a member of the First English Lutheran church, the Neptune Fire company, the Tyrone Volunteer Firemen's Relief association and Good Will council, No. 42, Jr. O.U.A.M.
