HEUSTON Mrs. Della Gertrude Heuston, wife of Adolph Heuston, of Roaring Spring, died at the Cresson sanitarium at 9:30 o'clock yesterday morning of tuberculosis. She was admitted to the institution nine weeks ago. Deceased was born in Pleasant valley, Bedford county, and was aged 27 years. She was the daughter of Paul and Minnie (deceased) Bagley and was married in October 1908 to Mr. Heuston, since which time she had resided in Roaring Spring. She was a member of the Lutheran church, the Rebekahs and the Lutheran Aid society. She is survived by her husband and these brothers and sisters, Ross and Harry Bagley, of Altoona; Roy and Fred Bagley, of Bedford; Mrs. William Knipple, of Roaring Spring, and Miss Margaret Bagley, of Bedford. The remains were taken to her late home on New street, Roaring Spring, from which the funeral will take place at a time to be announced later. Mrs. Della Gertrude Heuston, wife of Adolphus Heuston, of Roaring Spring, died at the state sanitorium near Cresson at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning after a one year's illness due to tuberculosis of the throat. She had been a patient in that institution for the past six months. Mrs. Heuston was born near Bedford in 1889 and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Chalmers Bagley. In October 1909, she was united in marriage with A. D. Heuston of Roaring spring, where they established their home on New street. She was a member of the Lutheran church, joining that faith twelve years ago in Pleasant Valley. After coming to this place her membership was transferred to St. Luke's Lutheran church, which congregation knew her as one of its most earnest and helpful workers. She was also an active member of the Lutheran aid society. Mrs. Heuston is survived by her husband, A. D. Heuston, of New street; her father, D. Chalmers Bagley of Pleasant valley, and by four brothers and two sisters, viz., Ross, Howard and Mary, of Altoona; Roy and Fred, of Pleasant valley, and Mrs. William Knipple, of Roaring Spring. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. H. E. Berkey in the Lutheran church at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The local order of the Daughters of Rebekah, of which Mrs. Heuston was a past officer, will have charge of the burial services, and the entire order is requested to come in a body to the services.
