MRS. LILLIE MAE HICKS

Of 101 Twenty-third avenue, died at her home at 12/20 o'clock yesterday 
noon after an extended illness.  She was born in Altoona Jan. 8, 1889, 
a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Hartley) Holt.  Surviving are her 
husband, Blaine I. Hicks; one son, Donald of Altoona; her step-mother, 
Mrs. Mary A. Holt, and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Clark of Juniata and 
Mrs. Sarah Lasher of Altoona.  Mrs. Hicks had been a lifelong member of 
the First United Presbyterian church and a teacher in the primary 
department for 25 years.  She was a member of the Missionary society 
and of Circle 4.  Friends will be received at the Axe funeral home 
after 7 o'clock this evening.
