She had been bedfast for the past month. She was born on Feb. 22, 1859, in Williamsburg, a daughter of John and Nancy (Jones) Hicks. She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian church. Surviving are two brothers and two sisters, William Hicks of Tyrone, Mrs. Jennie Shoenfelt of Duncansville, Mrs. E. W. Wertz of Williamsburg and Calvin Hicks, at home. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home in charge of Rev. Samuel R. MacPhee, pastor of the Williamsburg Presbyterian church.
