HIESTER, Widow of David Hiester, died at her home, 413 Eleventh street, last night at 8 o'clock, of a complication of diseases. She had been ailing for the past six months. Deceased was born at McVeytown, Mifflin county, and was about 69 years of age. She was married in 1846 to David Hiester, who preceded her to the grave three years ago. She came to this city four years ago and had resided here ever since. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Eighth Avenue Methodist church. She is survived by nine children - William D., James M. and Jackson A., of Denver, Col.; John, of Anaconda, Mont.; Edward P. and David M., of Altoona, and Ella M. Jennie C. and Nellie E., at home. The remains will be taken to Newton Hamilton Sunday morning for interment. Altoona Mirror, Friday, April 29, 1898
