LOCAL BREVITIES.

  Carrie, daughter of Samuel and Rosa Highland, died at the residence 
of the parents, No. 322 Chestnut avenue, at half past 11 o'clock on 
Wednesday night, of membraneous croup.  The child was aged 2 years, 3 
months and 11 days.  The body was taken to Chambersburg on fast line 
this morning.
