He was horn June 13, 1866, near Hollidaysburg, a son of Milton and Julia (Wertz) Hileman. He was married Dec. 25, 1893, at Alexandria to Dollie M. Davis by Rev. A. A. Kerlin. Surviving are his wife and these children: Pearl and Alma, at home, Eldred and Chalmer of Sinking valley, Mrs. Thelma Wertz of Tyrone and Lt. Col. Cecil Hileman of Washington, D. C.; three grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: William R., D. Ralph and Mrs. Eldred Hoover, all of Williamsburg, and Mrs. Emma Walters of Washington, D. C. Mr. Hileman was a member of the First English Lutheran church of Tyrone. He moved to Tyrone six years ago after farming in Sinking valley for 25 years.
