HOWARD WERTZ HILEMAN

Of 700 West Fifteenth street, Tyrone, retired Sinking valley farmer, 
died at 6.30 o'clock last evening at his home after an extended 
illness. He was horn June 13, 1866, near Hollidaysburg, a son of Milton 
and Julia (Wertz) Hileman. He was married Dec. 25, 1893, at Alexandria 
to Dollie M. Davis by Rev. A. A. Kerlin. Surviving are his wife and 
these children: Pearl and Alma, at home, Eldred and Chalmer of Sinking 
valley, Mrs. Thelma Wertz of Tyrone and Lt. Col. Cecil Hileman of 
Washington, D. C.; three grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: 
William R., D. Ralph and Mrs. Eldred Hoover, all of Williamsburg, and 
Mrs. Emma Walters of Washington, D. C. Mr. Hileman was a member of the 
First English Lutheran church of Tyrone. He moved to Tyrone six years 
ago after farming in Sinking valley for 25 years. Friends will be 
received at the home after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon.
