Mrs. Mary Hinkle died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ross Stiver, 410 Second avenue, yesterday morning at 3 o'clock, after an illness of several years, having been a paralytic the past five years. Her maiden name was Miss Mary Maria Filby, and she was born in Wrightsville, Pa., Sept. 20, 1831. She was married to Mr. John Hinkle fifty-four years ago, who preceded her to the grave a little more than a year since. She was the mother of six children, as follows: William H. and Leander McClellan, both of Burket station; Harry G., of Pittsburg, Pa.; Mrs. Frank Detwiler, of Waterside, Bedford county; Mrs. C. J. Marshall and Mrs. Ross Stiver, of Altoona, all of whom survive her. She was a member of the Simpson Methodist church since its organization, being one of the original members. She was an earnest, devout and faithful Christian woman. Funeral services Thursday afternoon at 2.00 o'clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stiver, will be in charge of her pastor, Rev. J. F. Anderson.
