LESTER J. HIRST

Of 2613 West Chestnut avenue, died at his home at 11.15 o'clock 
Saturday night after an extended illness. He was born Feb. 1, 1901, in 
Altoona, the eon of Jacob and Jennie (Crocker) Hirst. Surviving are his 
wife, Mrs. Bertha (Davis) Hirst; one son, Lester, jr., at home, and two 
brothers, Lawrence and Francis, both of Altoona. He was a member of the 
Evangelical Independent Methodist church and was a painter in the paint 
shop of the Altoona works. Friends will be received at the Axe funeral 
home.
