HITE Of 420 Baynton Ave., South Lakemont, died at his home at 7.25 a.m. today after an extended illness. He was born at Poplar Run Oct. 3, 1877, a son of George and Anna (Wilt) Hite, and on June 8, 1905, married Anita Evans, who died Feb. 14, 1920. Surviving are seven children, Mrs. Helen Lewis of Philadelphia, Lewis G. of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Ruth Gill of Hollidaysburg, Mrs. Genevieve Hartman of Lakemont, J. Rodger Evans of Hollidaysburg RD 1 and Mrs. Geraldine Martz of Eldorado; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was a graduate of Roaring Spring High School and the Zeth Business College and retired as a clerk from the Pennsylvania Railroad Nov. 1, 1947, after 43 years of service. Mr. Hite was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Hollidaysburg, and Everett Lodge, F. & A.M. Friends will be received at the Creamer & Plank Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, after 7 p.m. tomorrow.
