PETER E. HITE

Of 119 Scott Ave., Garden Heights, died at 4:15 p.m. yesterday, Aug. 
20, 1973, at Altoona Hospital, where he was admitted Aug. 17, after a 
lengthy illness. Mr. Hite was a retired painter from Sunship Shipyards, 
Chester. He was born Jan. 6, 1895, at Roaring Spring, a son of Peter A. 
and Margaret (Hainley) Hite, and married Esther Snowberger Aug. 3, 
1951, at Roaring Spring. Surviving is his wife. Mr. Hite was a member 
of the Garden Heights United Methodist Church. Friends will be received 
in the Hammer Funeral Home, Lakemont, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 
and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
