Hockenberry, 85, a resident of Epworth Manor, Tyrone, formerly of Rush Run, Ohio, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Epworth Manor. She was born March 14, 1922 in Rush Run, Jefferson Co., Ohio, a daughter of John and Mary (Duda) Letusick. She was married December 4, 1942 to Jesse D. Hockenberry. She is survived by her husband at Epworth Manor; a sister Mary Hensley of Finleyville, Pa.; a brother Louis Letusick (Lilly) of Egg Harbor Twp., N.J.; a son Jesse D. Hockenberry, Jr. (Terrie) of Baltimore, Ohio; a daughter Helen Pressler (John) of Port Matilda; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, three brothers and an infant daughter Barbara. During WWII, while her husband served in the Navy, she worked briefly at a paint brush factory in Baltimore, Md. She was a member of the Rush Run United Methodist Church, Rush Run, Ohio. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, canning and baking. She was a well-loved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Epworth Manor Personal Care Chapel, Tyrone, with Mark Liller and Todd Templeton officiating. Interment will be at Gray's Cemetery, Halfmoon Twp., Port Matilda. Friends will be received at the Epworth Manor Personal Care Chapel on Tuesday one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn., Greater Penna.
