A former resident of this city, died yesterday at the home of his sister, Mrs. H. Schwab, at Brisbin, Clearfield county, of consumption, after a lingering illness. Deceased was born in Germany about thirty- five years ago, and had lived in Altoona for nine years. About one year ago he left this city and went to live with Mrs. Schwab at Brisbin. He was a nephew of Martin Hoelle and known throughout the city, having been employed as a bartender at the Chestnut avenue hotel for some time previous to his leaving Altoona. The remains will be brought to this city on the fast line tonight and taken to the undertaking rooms of Hickey & O'Neil, from which place the funeral will take place at 8:30 o'clock, proceeding to St. Mary's Catholic church, where services will be held a 9 o'clock; interment in St. John's cemetery.
