Mrs. Mary Hoenstine, a well known resident of Claysburg, died on Thursday evening at 6:30 o'clock, aged 76 years, 9 months and 9 days. She was born in Claysburg on May 18, 1842, the daughter of Paul and Annie Mauk, pioneer residents of Claysburg. Four sons survive - Harry, of this city; G. Alton, proprietor of the East Freedom hotel; William A., of Claysburg, at whose home she died, and David R., of Imler. These brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Abram Burket, George W. Mock, Mrs. Ellen B. Johnson, Mrs. Marta Wertz, A. J. Fries, of Claysburg, and Mrs. Sarah Long of Easton. Twenty-seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. She was a member of the Lutheran church. The funeral services will take place tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock in the Claysburg Lutheran church. Interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery at Claysburg.
