MISS ELLA HOFFER

Died of diphtheria at the residence of W. E. Gettig, 226 Fifth avenue, 
at 4 o'clock this morning.  The deceased was born in Centre Hall, 
Centre county, and was aged about 30 years.  She had been employed in 
Altoona as a domestic for a number of years.  When she took sick about 
four weeks ago she went to the residence of her friends, Mr. and Mrs. 
Gettig, where she died.  She is survived by her mother, five brothers 
and three sisters.  She was a member of the Trinity Reformed church. 
The remains were taken to Huntingdon for interment on the 2:05 train 
this afternoon.  They were accompanied by her pastor, Rev. Lewis Robb, 
who conducted brief services at the grave.
