MRS. CHARLES HOFFMAN.

  Mrs. Charles Hoffman, of Altoona, died on January 24, of euritanic 
fever. The deceased was a native of this county, having been born at 
Woodbury on May 22, 1878.  Her maiden name was Susan Stern.  She is 
survived by her husband; a child nine days old; her parents, Mr. and 
Mrs. Andrew Stern, of Woodbury; one sister, Mrs. John Corboy, of 
Altoona, and two brothers, Frank Stern, of Altoona, and Charles Stern, 
of Johnstown.  Mrs. Hoffman was a member of the Methodist Episcopal 
church.  The body was taken to Woodbury, where interment was made on 
Monday.
