The funeral services over the remains of John Holdeman, who died at the Altoona hospital took place last evening at 8 o'clock at the home of the son, at Kettle street and Blair avenue, East End. The remains will be taken to Lamont, Centre county, on the noon train today for interment. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Friday, January 20, 1905, page 5 RECORD OF DEATHS. At 3.30 o'clock Wednesday morning John Holderman, an aged and respected resident of the Eighth ward, residing at 204 East First avenue, died at the Altoona hospital from general debility. Last November Mr. Holderman fell and fractured the left femur bone and on November 24 was admitted to the hospital for treatment. His advanced years hindered the knitting of the bone and the fracture was a contributory cause to his death. Deceased was born in Pennsylvania and was aged 84 years. He followed farming the greater part of his life, and had resided in this city since his retirement from active employment. He was a veteran of the civil war and was held in esteem by all who knew him. He is survived by several children. The remains will be taken on Friday to Bellefonte for interment.
