Hollen, 76, of Pennsylvania Ave., 2 W 11th St., Tyrone died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Moran's Home, Bellwood. She was born September 14, 1930 in Tyrone a daughter of Charles and Cora (Sprow) VanAllman. On June 12, 1975 in Hagerstown, Maryland she married Harold Hollen. He died February 29, 1988. Surviving are six daughters, Linda Harris of Huntingdon, Carrie Rhodes and husband Frank of Huntingdon, Dana Vingin and husband Don of Carnegie, Lisa Thomas of Cambridge, Mass., Cathy Jennings and husband David of West Chester, Linda Moore and husband John of Montana, 18 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a brother Fred VanAllman and wife Jane of Tyrone. She was preceded in death by a son Harry Hollen. Mrs. Hollen was in the first home nursing class of the Home Nursing Agency, Hollidaysburg and had served as Nurses Aid for many years. She also was previously employed at Sylvania Corp., drove taxi and was a teacher's aid. A lover of children, Rosella served as foster parent and hosted fresh air children. She was an accomplished poet and enjoyed drawing. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Pastor David Bowen officiating.
