MARY ELIZABETH HOLLY, Wife of Oliver Holly, a resident of Tyrone for the past seventeen years, died at her home, 720 Washington avenue, Friday evening at 8 o'clock, death being attributed to complications. She had been bedfast since Aug. 14. She was born in Emmaville, Fulton county, Jan. 9, 1864, the daughter of Harvey and Mrs. Rhoda Akers, both now deceased. She was united in marriage with Oliver Holly on Jan. 13, 1892, at Akersville. She is survived by one daughter, Pearl, at home, a son, Nial, and a daughter, Mrs. Paul Rhoades of Tyrone. She is also survived by these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Lou Carpenter of Arkansas, and Mrs. J.V. Oster and Mrs. C.A. Stone of Tyrone, James and Robert Akers of Baltimore. She was a member of the First Methodist church of Tyrone and was an active worker in the missionary and aid societies. Funeral services will be conducted at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of her pastor, Rev. Robert J. Allen. Interment in Grandview cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Friday, 9 October 1925
