Hoover, of East Sharpsburg, near Roaring Spring, died last evening at 5 o'clock at the residence of her granddaughter, Mrs. E. G. Green, at Roaring Spring. Mrs. Hoover spent Christmas with her son, Mr. Elmer Hoover, of this city, and the next day visited her son, Mr. H. D. Hoover, at Portage. She left there in apparently good health Wednesday evening and died at the time stated of apoplexy. Mrs. Hoover is survived by her husband, whose helpmeet she had been for almost 54 years, she being aged 53 years at the time of her death. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Mr. H. D. Hoover, of Portage, and Mr. Elmer Hoover, of this city, and two daughters - Mrs. E. J. Williams, of Anthony, Ind., and Mrs. Haslin Harris, of Duncansville. She was a member of the Dunkard church, and was possessed of a remarkably sweet temper, being beloved by all who knew her.
