All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Donna Mae (Rhoades) Hoover Donna Mae Hoover, of 538 Garfield Street, Tyrone, died Thursday, July 8, 1982 at 1:38 p.m. at Mercy Hospital, Altoona, following a brief illness. She was born March 17, 1926, at Tyrone; the daughter of Laurie Wilt, Sr. and Clara Marian (Thompson) Rhoades. She was a lifelong resident of the Tyrone area. She is survived by one daughter and two sons, Mrs. William (Sue) O'Brien, of Tyrone, and John S. Hoover, Jr. and William W. Hoover, both of Eden Valley; five grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters: Oscar Berry Rhoades, Daniel Leroy Rhoades, Laurie Wilt Rhoades and Mrs. Dorothy Jane McClellan, all of Tyrone; George Rhoades; of Altoona; and Mrs. Phyllis Hazel Bonsell, of Decker Hollow, Tyrone. Two brothers and three infant sisters preceded her in death: Arthur Roy, John Leonard, James Edgar, Alice Catherine, two sisters were unnamed. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 4559 and the Women of the Moose. She was a former leader of the Warriors Mark 4-H Club. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Getz and Searer Funeral Home with the Reverend Ralph Ebersole officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township, Bellwood. Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., July 9, 1982, page 2
